A cyclist was injured around noon on Sunday during a cycling round in Ravenstein. He collided with a motorcyclist on the Maasdijk.
Although the dike was part of the cycling round, it was not closed to other traffic. As a result, in addition to cyclists, cars and motorcyclists could also use this route.
Vacuum mattress
The wounded cyclist was stabilized by ambulance personnel and brought to a hospital on a vacuum mattress. Patients are transported on such a mattress who, for example, have pelvic injury and are not allowed to move.
Nothing is known about the seriousness of the injuries. How the accident could happen is being investigated.
