The severe thunderstorm warning that applied to several provinces has passed. The KNMI had previously issued code yellow for Groningen, Drenthe, Gelderland and Limburg, among others, but the map on the website is now completely green.

The showers could be accompanied by hail. The meteorologists also warned of a lot of precipitation in a short time. Local flooding could occur. In Brabant and Limburg there was already a nuisance due to heavy showers earlier in the day.

According to the KNMI, code yellow means: Be alert. As it says on the website: There may be a chance of dangerous weather. These are weather situations that often occur in the Netherlands where it is advisable to pay attention, especially when you are on the road.
