Kurt Ureel, team boss Cleaning Service Oostende: “We first and foremost place a lot of garbage bins on the beach that are emptied daily. We have also placed extra garbage bins on the Zeedijk, some of which are 1,000 liter bins. On the stairs we create waste islands. That means there are different containers, both for PMD and for removal.”
So there are enough places to throw away your waste, and to keep the beach clean. “I ask the people who come this weekend: throw your waste in the garbage bowl. Enjoy our city, enjoy our beautiful beach but please keep it clean, thank you.”
