On the proposal of Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Council of Ministers agreed to nominate Mr HM (Hugo) De Jonge for appointment as King’s Commissioner in the province of Zeeland. The appointment starts on July 1, 2025.

Hugo de Jonge is 47 years old. He has been acting commissioner of the king in the province of Zeeland since September 2024, after the departure of Mr. Han Polman. Before that, the young Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning and of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
