Coast counts 2.5 million overnight stays during Easter holidays

About as many tourists or second-guests slept in one of the coastal municipalities in the past two weeks as during the Easter holidays last year. In the Easter weekend, the hotels even reached an occupancy of 90 to 95 percent, which is the same as the same weekend in 2019.

90 percent occupancy

Although the holiday ends sunny, the first days of the holiday were bad weather. The holiday homes or apartments were 70 to 80 percent full in the first week. In the second week it was already between 85 and 95 percent. The campsites can also look back with satisfaction on the week of the Easter weekend, because they then succeeded in filling 90 percent of their places. Especially from the Netherlands, France and Germany, foreign tourists also flocked to the Belgian coast.
