Benedict Hollerbach is one of the shooting stars of the ongoing Bundesliga season. In 28 games, the wing striker scored eight goals for the 1st FC Union Berlin and prepared three more. He is the undisputed top scorer for the Iron. But how long does the 23-year-old play in Köpenick?
Hollerbach could leave the club in summer. As several media unanimously report, some Bundesliga clubs are interested in an obligation of the nimble striker. One of the top candidates is Borussia Mönchengladbach. “Hollerbach is a really good boy. Of course we look at how we will stand up next season. But like many clubs, the portfolio depends on whether we qualify for Europe,” said Borussia’s sports director Roland Virkus on Thursday.
According to “Sky”, however, there are no advanced talks between the Union Berlin and Borussia Mönchengladbach. This could also be related to the fact that the foals, as the team from Mönchengladbach is called, do not yet know whether they will play internationally next year.
