Club is probably interested in ex-Frankfurter Haller

Sébastien Haller once successfully stormed for Eintracht Frankfurt. Now he could return to the Bundesliga – and end BVB’s search for a striker. But there’s a catch.

According to information from the “Bild” newspaper, Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund is said to be interested in signing Sébastien Haller from Ajax Amsterdam. According to this, BVB would have to invest more than half of the proceeds from the sale of Erling Haaland for the former Eintracht Frankfurt professional.

Haaland replacement probably found

Ajax is said to be demanding “well over 38 million euros” plus bonus payments. BVB is said to be offering 33 million euros. For the transfer of top scorer Haaland to Manchester City, the Revierclub had received the fixed transfer fee of 75 million euros.

After the loss of Haaland, BVB is looking for a new, efficient goalscorer. Haller, who still has a contract with Ajax until 2024, scored 73 goals in 132 top division games for Amsterdam. The Ivorian scored eleven goals in eight Champions League games for Ajax. He scored two of them in the last group phase against Dortmund, who, unlike Amsterdam, failed in the preliminary round.
