Clear defeat for Wagner and the Magic

Basketball world champion Moritz Wagner suffered a significant home defeat against the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA with the Orlando Magic. The team from Florida lost to Joel Embiid and Co. 109:124.

Wagner had four points and two assists during his short stint in the absence of his brother Franz, who was still ailing (ankle injury). On the other hand, Embiid scored 36 points and seven rebounds; it was the MVP’s 19th game in a row with more than 30 points.

Orlando is in eighth place in the East with a record of 22 wins and 20 defeats. Philadelphia (27:13) is third in the Eastern Conference after its fourth straight win.

In the top game on Friday (local time), the Denver Nuggets inflicted their first home defeat of the season on the Boston Celtics. The defending champion narrowly won 102:100 in a close encounter.
