Behind the scenes, a team of more than a hundred employees ensures that everything goes smoothly. For costumes and wigs alone, a ten -person team is busy. “We have 600 costumes on tour,” explains spokesman Francis Jalbert. “On stage you see 120 at the same time, but each role needs multiple outfits. Everything is maintained and adjusted daily.”
The renewed Alegría not only received a fresh decor and new costumes, but also adapted music and choreographies. Nevertheless, the recognizable magic of the original show is retained. The spectacle runs until 24 August in Knokke-Heist. Tickets can be purchased via the Cirque du Soleil website.
