Christmas circus Emmen breathes a sigh of relief after a failed circus stunt

Colleagues and the audience of the Christmas Circus in Emmen were very frightened. On Christmas Day, as always, they did their show and prepared for their spectacular final act. Two motorcyclists enter a steel road globe and drive right past each other. Spectacular to see, but when one of the two motorcyclists makes a steering error and crashes into the other, things seem to go wrong.

“The audience was very shocked, and don’t blame them because it was sad to see,” says Robbin Kaspers, employee of the Christmas circus in Emmen. “I immediately took care of my colleague, but at the same time the show had to go on. We took my colleague to the hospital, and the show has now been completed successfully.”

The motorcycle racer left the hospital a few hours later with a minor head wound and a painful hand. All’s well that ends well, you could say, although it will still be a while before the final act is performed again. “He would have preferred to get back on the motorcycle today, but it will take a while before his hand is completely healed, so that will take a while. Fortunately, it all turned out well,” says Kaspers.
