The German soccer players can rely on regular goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger again in the finals of the Nations League. An EM discovery is canceled.

With returnee Ann-Katrin Berger in goal, but without the ailing European Championship discovery Carlotta Wamser, national coach Christian Wück goes into the Nations League finals against Spain. In addition to Berger, defenders Rebecca Knaak and Sarai Linder are also returning to the 23-man squad, as the German Football Association announced.

The first leg against the world champions will take place on November 28th in Kaiserslautern. The second leg is scheduled for December 2nd at Madrid’s Estadio Metropolitano.

The 35-year-old Berger from US club Gotham FC missed the semi-finals against France (1:0/2:2) due to a knee injury and left her regular place to Wolfsburg’s Stina Johannes. Because Bayern goalkeeper Ena Mahmutovic is back, Liverpool’s Rafaela Borggräfe and Hoffenheim’s Laura Dick are not nominated this time.

While Frankfurt’s midfielder Lisanne Gräwe also made it into the squad, Bayern creative player Linda Dallmann and central defender Bibiane Schulze Solano from Athletic Bilbao, among others, are only available on call. Like recently, Wück will have to do without Bayern star Lena Oberdorf and Leipzig striker Giovanna Hoffmann (both torn cruciate ligaments).

According to the DFB, over 37,000 tickets have already been sold for the last home international match of the year at the Fritz Walter Stadium.
