Chimpanzees put branches in their ears and follow ‘Viral Affentrend’: “It’s in fashion”

In a chimpanzees reception center in Africa, it was discovered that the monkeys are developing ‘fashion trends’. For example, they hang leaves of grass or sticks in their ears or even their bottom. This behavior was seen for the first time in 2010 with a female in the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage in Zambia. Soon other members of her group did the same, researcher Ed van Leeuwen from Utrecht University tells CNN.
