Child of the club Jeffrey Boomhouwer returns to handball players Aalsmeer

Jeffrey Boomhouwer returns to the handball players of Aalsmeer. The handball player left Aalsmeer in 2010 and has played in the strong German league in recent years with TV Emsdetten, MT Melsungen and Bergischer HC.

After 12 years in Germany, Boomhouwer is now returning to his beloved club, where he played both in the youth and in the first team. “I really want to give something back to this club,” said Boomhouwer.

The now 33-year-old handball player will also be involved in training talents with the North Hollanders. He recently obtained his coaching diploma. “It’s great that I can help the talents of Aalsmeer further in their development”, says the left corner player.

Aalsmeer qualified for the finals for the national championship this weekend. Volendam is the opponent in a best-of-three series. The first game is scheduled for Sunday 12 June.

Last summer NH reporter Jasper Leegwater spoke extensively with Jeffrey on the Aalsmeer Westeinderplassen. Watch the episode of ‘Rondje Poel’ with Boomhouwer below:
