The Chery group officially announces the arrival of its main brand, Chery precisely, on the Italian market starting from June 2026, thus completing its expansion strategy in Europe. Already present in 120 Villagesthe Chinese manufacturer is now focusing on Italy as a key market for the diffusion of its future models. A decision that follows two years later the arrival in Italy of the first brands of its galaxy, Omoda & Jaecoo, which have established themselves among the brands that have recorded the fastest growth in Italy. In synergy with the other brands of the Group, including Lepas, iCaur and Exlantix, Chery will continue to create a complete range of so-called New Energy Vehicles (a term which for Chinese manufacturers indicates plug-in hybrid or electric cars). The promise is to develop a complete range that spans multiple segments, from more compact models to seven-seater models.

Supporting Italian expansion is the structure of the group, which in 2025 confirmed itself as the leading Chinese car exporter for the 23rd consecutive year, with over 1.34 million of cars shipped outside their home country. Last year the group recorded sales for 2,806,393 vehicles (+7.8%) and debuted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 25, 2025, marking one of the largest Hypo (Initial Public Offering) of the year in the industry. The achievement was supported by a network of eight research and development centers around the world and the powertrain Chery Super Hybrid.
