The Coachella Festival last weekend (April 11th to 13th) not only caused a conversation about the music acts: Alexander “Ae” Edwards, music manager and long-time partner of pop icon Cher was spotted at the festival-in the middle of several blondes, but without a cher at his side. The scene immediately let the rumor mill suck on social networks and tabloid media. Is it crisis in the relationship of the couple and is the couble now history?
Cher and AE: No Trouble in Paradise
A spokesman for Cher has now spoken plain text compared to the “TMZ” news page and clears up with the rumors: “Cher and Ae are still together and are very happy.” The coachella appearance also meant nothing-AE was simply traveling with friends, Cher was not there for private reasons.
The relationship between the now 78-year music legend and the 39-year-old Edwards caused a stir from the start. Since the end of 2022, the two have been a couple, despite a short end of relationships in May 2023, which was revised only a few months later.
Alexander Edwards had previously been with Amber Rose for three years before separating in August 2021. Rose accused Edwards of cheating on them with at least twelve different people. The ex-partners have a son. The producer does not seem to be a loyal angel either.
A love in public
For Cher, publicity -effective romances are not new. Many of their partners were and are still in public today. Her first great love was Sonny Bono-together as Sonny & Cher, they became world famous in the 1960s, but the marriage broke in 1975. Romances followed with music legend Gregg Allman (whom she also married), “Kiss” front man Gene Simmons, actor Val Kilmer and film producer David. With AE she now seems to have found a late but stable love. In interviews, she was always proud of her partner and praised his creativity and humor.
In December 2022, Cher spoke about her friend when she appeared on the “Kelly Clarkson Show”. “It’s somehow ridiculous on paper,” said the singer about her relationship. “But in real life we understand each other perfectly. He is fantastic. And I do not attribute men to men that they don’t earn.”
