Joe Seiders, drummer of the band The New Pornographerwas arrested for possession of child pornography. This gave the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in one Press release known.

A spokesman for the band told opposite Pitchfork: “All the band members are absolutely shocked. In horror. And on the ground, destroyed by the news of the allegations against Joe Seiders. We immediately broken off all the connections to him. Our sympathy applies to everyone who is affected by his actions.”

According to the press release, a stranger called the police officers on April 7 for a “suspicious incident” in Palm Desert, California. When she arrived, an 11-year-old boy told the official that “an unknown adult man filmed him with a cell phone while using the toilet there”. According to PitchFork, which has checked online records, the incident occurred in a Chick-Fil-A restaurant in the Coachella Valley.

Possession of child pornography

Two days later, a stranger called the police for another incident. An employee informed the officials that “a man with an underage boy had entered and left the toilet of the business”. The officials identified the suspect as the 44-year-old Seider and arrested him.

Seider’s search commands were delivered for his apartment, vehicle and mobile phone. According to the report, evidence that associated him with the two reported incidents were found. As well as with other crimes, including the possession of child pornography. He was admitted to the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio for possession of child pornography, harassment/sexual harassment of a child, violation of privacy and attempted violation of privacy.

According to PitchFork, he should appear in court on April 22nd.
