Check Hazeldonk: man owes 6 years in prison, discovered false documents

A man was arrested on Thursday during a military police check on the A16 near Hazeldonk. He still had to serve a six-year prison sentence and was under European surveillance. A Chinese was also arrested, as he has a 2-year European entry ban.

A traveler on an international bus was arrested after he showed the military police a fake Latvian identity card. More fake documents were found in his bag: a Latvian driver’s license and passport and a Nigerian driver’s license.

Suspicious circumstances
An English car was seized due to suspicious circumstances and because the driver could not explain who owned the car. The Albanian co-driver turned out not to have a valid passport with him. He was also taken to the brigade.
