Fleur Agema thinks it’s silly that Chantal Janzen made fun of her so much during the Televizier gala. “Also look in the audience at how many PVV members are among them!”
Chantal Janzen, the muse of Joop van den Ende, opened the Golden Televizier-Ring Gala last week with a parody of Fleur Agema. The PVV politician had just had a TV clash with Joop about the future of public broadcasting. What does Fleur think of such a parody? She tells it in the Pauw & De Wit from last night.
Fleur without glasses
Remarkably, Fleur appears at the table without her characteristic glasses. “Where have your glasses gone?” asks host Jeroen Pauw.
Fleur laughs: “Oh, I gave that to Chantal Janzen!”
Jeroen: “She opened the Televizier gala last week with a parody of you in conversation with Joop van den Ende, at the table here two weeks ago. Were you watching or were you walking?”
PVV members in the audience
Fleur saw it. “No, I immediately received all kinds of messages, so I rewound it and took a look. Yes, I thought it was very funny. So there are the Fleur Agema glasses!”
She continues: “I hope she puts it on more often and when she organizes a schlager festival, she also looks into the audience to see how many PVV members are among them!”
Jeroen: “Because they are special glasses with which you can recognize PVV members?”
Fleur: “Yes, it’s the Fleur Agema glasses!”
Bad accent
How did table guest Angela de Jong think of that parody? “I thought it was a nice, topical start to the Televizier gala. I didn’t think the accent was quite right, because I got a bit of an Eastern Bloc vibe.”
“At the same time, I also thought: the fact that the side was chosen against Mrs. Agema is of course not very surprising at the NPO, is it? And Chantal Janzen who stands up for Joop van den Ende… Yes…”
Fleur concludes: “The daughter must always stand up for the father. The television father.”
