Attacker Ransford Königsdörffer remains the HSV. The change to the OGC Nice for days has burst because the French first division team had concerns after the medical check and took a distance from the obligation.

Königsdörffer, who had traveled directly to Nice after the HSV’s test game in Freiburg (1: 5) on Saturday, is already back in the Hanseatic city. At the climber in the Bundesliga, he still has a contract until 2026 and will fly to the training camp in Mallorca with the team on Wednesday.

“We did not expect this development,” said HSV board member Stefan Kuntz, “especially because of the fact that Ransi missed a total of only two games with muscular problems in his three-year contract term at the HSV. We receive him with open arms and know what we have about it.”

Costa: “We are very sorry for Ransi”

Königsdörffer, who, like all HSV professionals, is closely accompanied by the UKE athleticum, has been one of the players with the highest availability in recent years. “We are very sorry for Ransi that we would have liked to give him the change and thus the chance of international football,” said director Sport Claus Costa, “at the same time, from a human and sporting point of view, we are of course very happy that he is still available to the HSV.”

14 goals in Hamburg promotion season

Born in Berlin, he changed from Dynamo Dresden to Hamburg in 2022. After the attacker commuted at the HSV between the replacement bench and starting eleven in the first two years, he managed to break through in the past series. With 14 goals, Königsdörffer played a significant role in the rise of the team of coach coach Merlin Polzin.

Nevertheless, the four -time national player was now looking for a new challenge – and, with a change, had said to have given the HSV a transfer fee of around seven million euros.

“We take this step out of conviction,” said sports director Stefan Kuntz. The 34-year-old had led the Hamburgers back to the Bundesliga.
