Biggest away win for the Skyblues

Thanks to a last-minute goal from Kylian Mbappé, Paris Saint-Germain have secured a good starting position for the targeted quarter-finals in the Champions League. Ironically, the exceptional striker courted by Real Madrid scored the winning goal in the fourth minute of added time on Tuesday evening to make it 1-0 (0-0) in the round of 16 first leg against the “Royal”.

Before reaching the quarterfinals: Manchester City shoots down Sporting in Lisbon

In the second round of 16 of the evening, however, Manchester City had an easy time at Sporting Lisbon. Coach Pep Guardiola’s star team beat the defensively desolate Portuguese 5-0 (4-0) and can therefore plan for the quarter-finals – it was the Skyblues’ highest away win in the “premier class” to date.

Riyad Mahrez (7th minute), Bernardo Silva (17th/44th), Phil Foden (32nd) and Raheem Sterling (58th) scored the goals for the English, where international Ilkay Gündogan came on as a substitute in the second half. The two second legs will take place on March 9th.
