Celtic have strengthened their squad with Rubin Kazan striker Sead Haksabanovic. The 23-year-old Swedish-born Montenegrin comes for 2.5 million euros and will receive a five-year contract with his new employer. Most recently, the national player played on loan at the Swedish club Djurgårdens IF – made possible by the special transfer window for foreign players in Russia and Ukraine created by FIFA.
Rubin Kazan signed Haksabanovic in 2021 for a fee of 6.5 million euros from IFK Norrköping, who will now receive a five percent share of the transfer fee. Overall, meanwhile, Celtic, as reigning champions, have invested around 23 million euros in newcomers this summer – nobody has spent more in Scotland.
We are delighted to announce the signing of Montenegrin winger Sead Hakšabanović on a five-year deal, subject to international clearance
