National ice hockey player Lean Bergmann is returning from Adler Mannheim to the Iserlohn Roosters “for family reasons” by the end of the year.

At the request of the 23-year-old attacker, the two clubs agreed on a loan deal. The former NHL professional can live again in Sauerland and closer to his hometown.

“Of course, the temporary separation from Lean leaves a gap that we can only close by joining forces,” said Adler sports manager Jan-Axel Alavaara: “Nevertheless, private reasons clearly take precedence in this case. We are sure that Lean will gain valuable match practice in Iserlohn, but at the same time be better able to take care of his own affairs.”

Bergmann moved from Iserlohn to Mannheim in 2019, but initially looked for his chance in North America.

After his return in 2021, he played 32 main round games for the Eagles before he had to take a long break due to a myocarditis.
