vVenice 2023 has its godmother: she is the actress Caterina Murino. Sardinian, 45 years old, the movie star will be the protagonist of the opening and closing evenings of the eightieth Venice International Film Festival directed by Alberto Barbera and scheduled from 30 August to 9 September.
Caterina Murino, her career
Caterina Murino’s career began in 1997 with her participation in the competition of Miss Italy in which it ranks fifth. She goes straight to the cinema. In 2002, in fact, the debut with Luis Sepulveda in Nowhere. And, after several television and film productions, in 2006 she plays the Bond Girl next to Daniel Craig. The first leading role was in 2008 in The seed of discord by Pappi Corsicato. He posed for Playboy and starred in a few music videos.

A precious gift

Being the godmother of the 80th edition of the Venice Film Festival is an immense honor and a great responsibility and I will do my best to live up to it».
