In the ongoing trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Regina Ventura, the mother of the singer Cassie, made serious accusations against the rapper. She said that Combs put pressure on her to pay him $ 20,000 after threatening to publish intimate recordings in the form of Cassie’s “freak-off” tapes. The process against Diddy revolves around serious allegations such as human trafficking, blackmail and prostitution.
Threats such as relationship with Kid Cudi
Regina Ventura described in court how she received an email from Combs in December 2011, in which he threatened to publish two sex videos of her daughter-one of which was to be published at Christmas. These threats came shortly after Cassie started a relationship with the rapper Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi and did not got wind of it, reported “E! News”.
“I felt physically ill when I read the email,” said Cassie’s mother Regina Ventura in court. “I couldn’t believe that he would do something like this. He wanted to hurt my daughter and asked for $ 20,000 because she was now with someone else.” To find the money, the family took up a house loan, as the mother explained: “It was the only way to get the money.”
In addition to the threats, Ventura also reported injuries that her daughter claimed to have suffered from Combs. “She was blue and hurt, and I wanted to make sure that we document it,” she said in court according to “E! News” and showed photos of the wounds.
Cassie’s own statement and waiver of defense
The singer’s mother is not the only witness to accuse Diddy of physical violence against Cassie. Dawn Richard, former singer of the Danity Kane group and girlfriend of Cassie, told her in 2009, as Combs Cassie Ventura attacked with a frying pan full of eggs. “He came down the stairs, looked for his cell phone and threw it to the ground. Then he tried to step on it. She fell on the floor and contracted protectively,” said Richard according to “E! News” in the courtroom.
Cassie herself had already stated in court that Combs threats led her to end her relationship with Kid Cudi. “There was too much uncertainty when we stayed together. Sean said he would hurt both of us,” said the singer. According to the mother, the defense refused to ask her.
Regina Ventura also reported that Combs had contacted her personally to request the $ 20,000-a sum that he supposedly claimed as a repayment for investments in Cassie Ventura’s career.
