Carpentry, sawing and crafting with wood. The carpentry village rises during the May holidays in Dwingeloo

Carpentry, sawing and crafting with wood. In Dwingeloo, children aged 6 to 11 can use all their creativity and energy during the third edition of Timmerdorp Dwingeloo.

The construction site on the grounds of Beleefpark Dwingeloo is open during the May holiday from Saturday 29 April to Tuesday 2 May.

The theme this year is ‘Timmerdorp on the campsite’. Fancy Hoekstra of the organization says: “In addition to all the structures that the children will build, there will also be a hardware store, a shop, a saw shed and a town hall on the building site. Children must apply for building permits at the reception of the campsite for, for example, an extra floor, chimney or a roof gutter. After approval, the builders receive coins. By handing in these coins at the woodshed, new wood can be ‘bought’ to continue building.”

There is room for up to 300 builders. You can give up here .
