Out with a right wrist injury, Carlos posted a series of photos between vacation and recovery. The most curious see him hitting with his left hand and in the hospital. For an operation or an MRI?
News from the planet by Carlos Alcaraz, including funny videos and photos, training moments and even a very small detective story. The Spanish tennis player is recovering from the wrist injury suffered in Barcelona, which forced him to withdraw first from the Masters 1000 in Madrid and Rome, and then from Roland Garros and the next Wimbledon. Last night, on his Instagram profile, the seven-time slam winner published a series of photos, entitled “a slightly different May”, which portray him in many moments of the last period, spent in convalescence but not only, between leisure and holidays with friends, with family, from his little brother Jamie to his other brother Alvaro, for an Alcaraz who seemed anything but down in the dumps or whatever.

What aroused a lot of curiosity were above all two passages in the roundup of social images. One is a video where Alcaraz is on the court while training, however using his left hand to hold the racket, so as not to strain his injured wrist, while with his right hand he “mimics” the movement of the forehand, as if not wanting to lose the habit, to feel the shot. The Spanish champion has shown that he knows how to use his left hand, but this is nothing new: in fact, the Murcian has always declared that he is practically ambidextrous.

However, another photo that aroused some more apprehension among fans and tennis enthusiasts was the one that showed Alcaraz wearing a hospital gown, complete with a bracelet on his wrist and the “tunic” that is typically worn during post-operative hospitalization. No one on the team has talked about wrist surgery and there is no news in that regard. Most likely Alcaraz simply underwent an MRI, wearing that robe which is also used to take that type of exam. The Spaniard has already announced his withdrawal from Wimbledon: the world awaits his return for the hard court season.
