A car caught fire on the Vliegveldweg in Hoogeveen this afternoon. The fire started while the car was underway. The driver parked the car on the side of the road and was able to get out in time. So no one was injured.
The fire started under the hood, possibly due to a short circuit. The fire brigade was unable to save the car.
