A car hit the N34 this morning, near Annen. The car came to a stop over a ditch. The driver of the car and the other passenger were not injured.
Due to the accident, the N34 between Gieten and Zuidlaren, in the direction of Groningen, was closed for some time.
The single-vehicle accident is believed to have been caused by a sudden hailstorm that passed over.
