A 49-year-old woman from the municipality of Achtkarspelen was killed in a serious accident on the N358 between Buitenpost and Opende near Augustinusga on Monday afternoon, the police reported.
The fire service was called immediately after the accident. The trauma helicopter also took to the air, but was canceled close to the accident.
The police are still investigating exactly what happened.
