Quarterback Cam Ward was the first pick in the NFL draft and is now supposed to lead the Tennessee Titans to a better future. The playmaker already made a good impression on his first training sessions.
On Thursday, the rookies of the Tennessee Titans first arrived in the facility of their new team. At the weekend, some training sessions were on the program. There was enough time for cam to impress his teammates.
Before that, however, the first pick of the past theater troubled to meet as many people as possible. “I opened up my new teammate more towards more,” said Ward. “You get the chance to get to know me. I already know X (the former Miami and current Titans teammate Xavier Restrepo, editor’s note) and have a connection to him. I have to connect to my other boys,” is the clear goal of cam ward.
Above all, he meant the connection on the pitch, where he was already working intensively to improve his chemistry with the young passport recipients.
“He’s just a great leader,” said Rookie-Tight-End Gunnar Helm directly impressed by Ward. “You can talk to him very easily, you can easily establish a connection and communicate very well with him in the field,” said Helm.
NFL: Leadership qualities directly visible
With his statements, Helm confirms the impression that Ward also conveyed in media -open training on Saturday.
Titans coach Brian Callahan then also spoke about Ward’s leadership qualities, which in his opinion were completely naturally anchored in his person. As soon as everything is even more important, Ward can expect even more leadership, Callahan is certain.
For the beginning, however, Ward seems to impress his teammates sustainably. “Cam worked great with us receivers,” added Rookie Wideout Chimere Dike. “He is a really good leader and has this presence on the field and throws the ball really well,” was the young passport recipient’s conclusion.
