Cabin oath at FC Schalke 04 revealed

In an otherwise largely messed up first half of the season, Tom Krauss was one of the few bright spots at FC Schalke 04. The U21 national player still firmly believes in staying up – also thanks to an oath.

From Schalke’s point of view, the World Cup break did not come at the best time. The Knappen had only just started to meet their opponents on an equal footing or, as in the case of FC Bayern, at least offer them a passionate fight.

Despite the Red Lantern, coach Thomas Reis’s protégés are going into the early winter break with a positive feeling. Midfield driver Tom Krauß has now emphasized this again on behalf of his teammates.

Krauss: That’s how Reis swore FC Schalke to the new role

In conversation with “sky“The former Nuremberg native praised the measures taken by Reis. “He gave us a certain basic defensive stability,” Krauss drew a comparison with the previous coach, Frank Kramer.

A joint oath also spurred the team on. “The coach gave a speech. He said we only had nine points and didn’t play a good first half of the season. But we are now the hunters and the others are the hunted,” revealed the 21-year-old details of Reis’ motivational speech.

Krauss and Co. want to make a virtue out of necessity. “You honestly have to say: Many don’t expect much from us anymore. Maybe that’s a role that suits us, where we say we’ll show everyone,” said the summer newcomer.

To do this, however, “everyone has to internalize what the coach said and take on the role of hunter,” demanded Krauss, who was loaned to FC Schalke by RB Leipzig along with a commitment to buy.

The versatile midfielder has been in the control center for the Royal Blues so far (15 appearances, one goal).
