BVB wants to poach at Hertha BSC

Borussia Dortmund is traditionally a good place to go for promising young talent. In their search for the stars of tomorrow, BVB has apparently found what they are looking for at Hertha BSC.

As “Bild” reports, Fadi Zarqelain is drawn from the offspring of the Bundesliga relegated to the youth department of the runner-up. The 14-year-old offensive all-rounder is considered one of the greatest talents of his year in Berlin.

According to the report, his departure is regretted within the club, especially since 15-year-old goalkeeper Nico Biedermann is also being drawn away from the capital and to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

It is said that given the financial strength of the competitors, Hertha BSC was powerless to woo the two teenagers.

For Zarqelain, however, family reasons should also play a role in the BVB change. This is an “affair of the heart” for him, writes “Bild”.

Positive from the point of view of Hertha BSC: Zarqelain will receive a transfer fee from Dortmund to Berlin.

Although he was not yet allowed to sign an official sponsorship contract with Hertha BSC due to his age, he reportedly has a written agreement with the club.

BVB and Hertha BSC in transfer negotiations

Currently, representatives of the old lady are to negotiate with BVB youth boss Lars Ricken about the amount of the compensation payment.

According to “Bild”, this could be quite lavish. In 2022, Hertha BSC is said to have negotiated a total transfer package of up to 500,000 euros when 14-year-old Yll Gashi switched to Bayern Munich – a lot of money for the clammy club, which currently even has to worry about the license and in the worst case the crash in the regional league is threatening.

Meanwhile, BVB had also got the first summer transfer for its professional team dry on Monday. Ramy Bensebaini is moving from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Westphalia.
