Third DFB player is coming
After months of negotiations, the move is perfect: Borussia Dortmund has officially confirmed the signing of Karim Adeyemi from Red Bull Salzburg. The 20-year-old has been given a contract until June 30, 2027, which does not include a release clause and should bring the attacker an annual salary of 6 million euros. After Niklas Süle (26; FC Bayern) and Nico Schlotterbeck (22; SC Freiburg), Adeyemi is the third German international to join BVB.
“As a little boy, I was fascinated by black and yellow fast-paced football. That’s why it quickly became clear to me that I would like to switch to BVB when I found out about Dortmund’s interest. According to consistent media reports from, among others, “Ruhr Nachrichten”, “WAZ” and “Sky”, the base fee for Adeyemi is around 30 million euros, which puts the DFB striker in the BVB ranking of the most expensive additions on a level with returnee Mats Hummels (33 ) as well as Donyell Malen (23) and André Schürrle (31). Adeyemi should be able to catch up with Ousmane Dembélé (24) through bonuses, for whom a total of 35 million euros flowed to Stade Rennes.
