BVB star shoots against ex-fans on the net-and withdraws

BVB defender Waldemar Anton has a difficult stand with the fans of his ex-club Stuttgart. Now he seems to be shot back against the supporters.
Waldemar Anton experienced a bitter afternoon in the 1-2 of the BVB against his ex-club Stuttgart-and not just on the pitch. The 28-year-old failed at the decisive goal and then made a speech with an enigmatic posting in his Instagram story. But the contribution disappeared as quickly as it went online.
Shortly after the game, Anton shared the definition of the English word “obsessed” in his story (in German: “obsessed”). There it says: “Can’t stop thinking about something; too much interest yourself or worry about something.” A few minutes later he deleted the story – but the confusion remained.
It is possible that the post was aimed at the fans of his ex-club. Anton had only moved from VfB Stuttgart to Dortmund in the summer after he had previously extended his contract and publicly emphasized his loyalty. The departure had annoyed many Stuttgart fans – since then Anton has been in focus.
Already in the first leg in Stuttgart (1: 5) he was whistled at every ball contact and was considered with insults and personal posters. Even now it hailed whistles again.
In addition to the trouble with the fans, things didn’t go smoothly. In the first half, Anton played a catastrophic bad pass directly into the feet of Stuttgart’s attacker Undav. Only thanks to Emre Can was spared BVB from the deficit. In the second half, Anton was less lucky: In the 50th minute, he missed a cross in his own goal – the 0: 1.
It is unclear whether Anton wanted to play on the Stuttgart fans with his Instagram post. The fact is: the explosive story quickly disappeared, but the discussions about it continues to absorb.
