BVB loses Revierderby in their virtual Bundesliga debut in FC24

It begins where the last season ended: The North-West relay of the Virtual Bundesliga Club Championship kicked off its first matchday at Lukas Podolski’s Strassenkicker Base in Cologne.

Borussia Dortmund made its VBL debut in the Revierderby against VfL Bochum. Not an easy test, two experienced VBL players were at the controller for Bochum: Ali “PredatorFIFA” Oskoui Rad and Timo “TimoX” Siep.

BVB with a thriller against VfL Bochum

However, three VBL-CC newcomers competed for Dortmund: Dennis “BVB_Denninho” Malcherczyk, Bradley “BVB_Denninho” Destoop and Roee “BVB_Feldmann” Feldmann. Nevertheless, the BVB trio delivered a thriller.

In the doubles, Feldmann and Denninho lost 1:2, the two singles of Feldmann and Bradley each ended 2:2 – a relieved cheer from the VfL team went through the hall when TimoX saved the tie against Bradley’s pressing until the final whistle.

“The Club Championship is still missing from my trophy cabinet,” said TimoX in the VBL live stream. Within the club, top of the table is not given to the players as a goal, “but we know what we can do.”

Cologne starts with Torfestival

Despite a new duo, club runner-up Hansa Rostock confidently prevailed against 1. FC Magdeburg (3:1; 6:1). The players of 1. FC Köln, Tim “TheStrxngeR” Katnawatos and Denis “Denis” Müller, ensured a goal festival against VBL newcomers VfL Osnabrück (9:0; 8:0).
