BVB is targeting the next offensive jewel

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund is currently looking intensively for potential reinforcements for the offensive area. According to an English media report, BVB could now have struck gold on the island.

As the tabloid “The Sun” recently reported, the second-placed player from Germany is said to have targeted winger Anass Zaroury.

The 22-year-old is one of the top performers at English second division leaders FC Burnley this season. For Burnley, who have already been promoted to the Premier League seven games before the end of the season and are coached by ex-Belgian international Vincent Kompany, Zaroury has played 34 games in all competitions this season, scoring ten goals.

The offensive player made it into the Moroccan national team last year and was part of the squad that sensationally advanced to the semi-finals at the World Cup in Qatar. Zaroury was used in the match for third place.

BVB Flirt Zaroury contractually bound until 2026

According to the English media report, BVB is said to have recently sent its scout Benjamin Frank to the island, where he observed Anass Zaroury on site at the match between Middlesbrough FC and Burnley FC.

The creative player is said to have long been on the list of other first division teams from Europe, including AS Monaco and Olympique Marseille from France as well as Standard Liège from Belgium.

How high the chances would be for BVB to be able to free Zaroury from FC Burnley despite a long-term contract until 2026 is not yet certain. In the event of a hefty transfer fee, however, Dortmund could well succeed in guiding one of the most promising talents from England’s lower house of football to the Bundesliga.
