Will he stay at Borussia Dortmund or go? Hardly any other BVB personality is currently being discussed as hotly as the future of Karim Adeyemi. Now the name of another interested party has appeared in the rumor mill.

As the reputable portal “The Athletic” reports, Europa League winner Aston Villa is looking at the 24-year-old offensive player.

Accordingly, Adeyemi is one of several wingers on the Premier League club’s list. Further details, such as whether there has already been contact with BVB or the players’ side, are not disclosed in the report.

Given that his contract with BVB ends in 2027, Adeyemi has been linked to a summer move for weeks and months.

Most recently it was said that Villa’s league rivals Manchester United, Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC were also keeping an eye on the Munich native.

The BVB professional himself is left cold by the speculation. “I have expressed my support for Dortmund often enough. I don’t think I have to repeat that over and over again,” the 24-year-old told the “Ruhr Nachrichten”. “I want to play for a club that plans with me and communicates this clearly to me.”

BVB: Adeyemi rumors “do not correspond to the truth”

Adeyemi countered a recent report that the players’ side was using excessive demands in terms of salary and exit clauses in talks with BVB in order to enable negotiations to fail and a free transfer after his contract expired in the summer of 2027.

“I often only find out about many things through the media or because they are sent to me – and they are simply not true. For example, when it comes to salary demands or something like that,” he explained.

Adeyemi emphasized: “It’s important to me that you sit down with me and my management and talk openly, regardless of whether the answer in the end is yes or no. I’m not someone who has bad blood. If someone tells me that it’s not right, I respect that just as much as a positive decision. Then you can plan the next steps on this basis. It’s that simple.”
