It is not new that Borussia Dortmund is looking around for possible new additions in the Bundesliga. Now the black and yellow will probably take a look at Gladbach.
The 28-year-old wants to leave the club until 2026 despite a contract. According to the “Sport Bild”, ItaKura strives for the next career step and would like to significantly increase its current salary of around four million euros per year. Another argument against whereabouts: The prospect of international games is getting smaller for Gladbach – the gap to sixth place, which entitles you to participate in the Conference League, is currently four points.
Gladbach has been trying to extend the contract with ItaKura for months – so far without success. The defender, who came from Manchester City for five million euros in 2022, can apparently leave the club for a transfer of at least twelve million euros.
Dortmund’s responsible Lars Ricken and Sebastian Kehl therefore consider itachura to be a suitable option to absorb the long -term failure of Nico Schlotterbeck (meniscal tear) – or to plan together with him in terms of perspective. The BVB currently has three classic central defenders. In addition to Schlotterbeck, these are Niklas Süle and Waldemar Anton. In addition, midfielder Emre Can also helped out several times in the defense center.
However, it is still unclear how Dortmund is planning in the future with Süle and Can. Both have contracts by 2026. In addition, the club must first qualify for an international competition in order to create scope for larger transfers.
Gladbach would be adjusted to an ITaCura departure. Kevin Diks was announced as a new addition in winter. The 28-year-old comes from FC Copenhagen free of charge in summer.
