Three lanes were closed due to an accident on the A8 involving three vehicles. Rijkswaterstaat reports this. Road users are now stuck in traffic jams for an hour. The road has been reopened.
It is also busy on other roads. For example, there is a traffic jam on the A7 towards Zaanstad for almost forty minutes. Traffic is now at a standstill at the Purmerend-Zuid junction.
Motorists who want to reach the A7 via the N235 near Purmerend-Zuid also have delays. It takes them half an hour longer because of the crowds.

A little further on, on the A9 towards Amstelveen, there is now also a traffic jam. At the Kooimeer junction, road users should expect a delay of half an hour.
