Buses manufacturer Ebusco is again in acute money problems. The company from Deurne, which brought summary proceedings against Qbuzz last year, says it depends on a ‘considerable capital injection in the short term’.
The troubled company has been struggling with delivery problems for some time and saw that customers are canceling their orders. This time, as a result of unpaid accounts, a supplier has submitted a bankruptcy application for the company.
The bus builder got into the conflict with Qbuzz because the carrier from the Northern Netherlands wanted to delete an order for 45 electric buses. It led to a lawsuit in which Qbuzz went at the longest end.
Qbuzz is not the first society that canceled an order due to delivery problems. The Swedish branches of Connect Bus and Keolis moved in orders of a total of around one hundred buses.
Ebusco already held an investment round last year and made a major reorganization. The location in Venray closed and only the one in Deurne remained open. The company also chose to let the buses assemble exclusively by subcontractors.
