On Friday evening there was a fire on the premises of a school in Neukölln. A historic tram caught fire.

The Neukölln fire station was called around 9 p.m. to a fire on the school grounds of the Zuckmayer high school and the rainbow elementary school on Mittelweg. A historic tram from 1936 was engulfed in flames on the school grounds.

The firefighters extinguished the carriage of the former tram, which burned out completely. Nothing can yet be said about the cause of the fire, a specialist commissioner of the Berlin police is investigating.
