There is a true burglary wave at tree and plant nurseries in the municipality of Zundert. The last twelve, ‘almost twenty’ burglaries have been committed with these nurseries. In July last year there was a substantial increase, but that decreased after warnings from the police. Now there is again a considerable increase.
The police are therefore ‘the proverbial alarm bell’, says local police officer Mitchel on Instagram. “The fact that hard -working Zundert entrepreneurs are constantly disadvantaged by this perpetrator group, touches us in our hearts!” The police therefore also appeal to the residents of the municipality to help.
For example, the request to take preventive measures, such as approved hinges and locks on windows and doors, and to ensure outdoor lighting. In addition, the police ask to be alert and to call 112 directly in suspicious situations.
