Arminia confirmed Rejek’s departure on Tuesday at a press conference called at short notice, which was attended by Rejek, club president Rainer Schütte and the chairman of the supervisory board, Hartmut Ostrowski. Rejek’s contract ends on November 30.
The 53-year-old joined Arminia, which was heavily indebted at the time, on October 1, 2017 as commercial director. As the initiator of the “Bündnis Ostwestfalen”, an association of regional companies, Rejek played a key role in the rehabilitation of the club and prevented insolvency.
