Buenos Aires Ballet: Why is classical dance gaining ground?

On Saturday, December 3 is the farewell function of the Buenos Aires Ballet in the emblematic Avenue Theater. the suite “Don Quixote” is the work chosen to end the 2022 season of the Dance Company founded by Federico Fernández. The classical piece chosen is the free version of Chapter XX of the Second Book of the work The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedraof the composer Ludwig Minkus and which was released, at the time, on December 26, 1869.

In the midst of the COVID-19 post-pandemic era, the Buenos Aires Ballet became the first Latin American company to return to the stage, performing a function with choreographies specially produced with social distancing protocol. A reason that highlighted the group, beyond having a tour of three consecutive seasons at the ND Ateneo from 2017 to 2019.

In this way, next Saturday ends a tour that led to being part of the Buenos Aires billboard, since 2021, carrying out functions at the Astral Theater, allowing different national figures to show their scenic art together with the first Dancers of the Teatro Colón , in an independent proposal in the world of dance. A discipline that Argentina had its proper names as Julio Bocca, Maximiliano Guerra and Eleonora Cassano.
