Bruges pastry chef hides real gold crowns in…

There are several pastry chefs who hide something in an Epiphany cake, but at Van Mullem they go one step further. Three days in a row, they presented themselves with a real gold crown: 18 carats, finished with Bruges lace, wound in 24 carat gold threads. The price of the jewelry varies between 2,000 euros and 2,500 euros. The pastry chef hopes to sell around 500 cakes per day on January 5, 6 and 7.
