Britney Spears: Did she just copy Shakira in her knife dance video?

You shouldn’t take knives “so seriously,” says the singer in a new Instagram post.

On Monday (September 25th), Britney Spears shocked everyone with an Instagram video in which she danced around wildly with two large kitchen knives in her hand and wearing a skimpy outfit – seemingly without any control. The singer wrote in the caption: “I was playing with knives in the kitchen today. Don’t worry, they aren’t real knives. Halloween is coming soon.” Nevertheless, her fans were worried about the 41-year-old’s mental state. Now Spears is commenting on the post in a new Instagram post.

She simply copied Shakira, who recently incorporated the same props into her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, said the “Toxic” interpreter in a follow-up post in which she wore pink bikini bottoms and a white shirt performs a dance – this time without a knife. She also asks her community not to take everything “so seriously.”

Shakira accepted a lifetime achievement award at this year’s MTV VMAs. She also performed three of her biggest hits live – including “Hips Don’t Lie”, “Whenever, Wherever” and “Objection (Tango)”. The Colombian pop singer’s dance included, among other things, a short interlude with dagger-like knives, which Spears is probably alluding to.

The followers’ concern also stems from the fact that in the current documentary “Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom” from the news channel “TMZ” it is reported that Britney Spears would sleep with a knife under her bed – out of fear of being in “mental captivity” again “to be taken.
