British actor and writer David Walliams dismissed from publisher for inappropriate behavior

British actor and children’s book writer David Walliams was set aside by publisher HarperCollins UK on Friday. This happened after the Daily Telegraph wrote that the publisher had investigated claims that he had harassed young female employees, Reuters reports. According to the newspaper, the publisher allegedly gave a five-figure buyout to a woman who had raised concerns about Walliams, after which she left the publishing house.
