The trigger for a brawl in a hotel in Düsseldorf was a long-simmering dispute between two families.
The background and those involved in the crime are still being determined, the police said on Sunday.
Twenty people were involved in the brawl in the hotel lobby
One man was injured in the brawl. Some of those involved fled before the police arrived. They were also searched for with a helicopter.
Four men and one woman were arrested on suspicion of joint aggravated robbery. They are said to have stolen a large sum of money from one of the parties involved in the dispute.
A large number of police officers reportedly prevented an escalation. While checking the family’s personal details, officials came across a woman who was wanted on an arrest warrant. She had not previously been involved in the brawl.
The police had already rejected rumors of an exchange of fire in the hotel on Saturday.
