The Berlin Volleys are in the final of the Bundesliga volleyball tournament for the Supercup.

In the semi-finals, the defending champion from the capital won confidently against the hosts Grizzlys Giesen 3-0 (25:20, 25:19, 25:22) on Saturday. In the final on Sunday (6 p.m.) the winner of the second semi-final between SVG Lüneburg and VfB Friedrichshafen will be the opponent.

Against Giesen, the Volleys impressed with a mature performance over long stretches in front of 1,800 spectators in Hildesheim. The most successful attacker for the winner was Marek Sotola with 18 points, his teammate Timothee Carle was hardly behind him with 15 points. Both teams will face each other again on Friday in Berlin at the start of the Bundesliga season.

The Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee, on the other hand, failed to prove their suitability for the Bundesliga on the second day of the tournament. They suffered a very clear 0:3 (14:25, 10:25, 11:25) defeat in the placement round against Volleys Herrsching.
