On the Piet van Bokhovenpad in Helmond, a boy was found seriously injured by the emergency services in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The cyclist was cycling with two other boys when he became unwell under the viaduct and fell off his bike.
The boys called the emergency services and on arrival the cyclist turned out to be seriously injured.
A trauma helicopter was called up. The helicopter landed a little further, after which the trauma team stabilized the victim in the ambulance.
Under the guidance of the trauma doctor, the victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Nijmegen.
According to the police, the boys came from another location, where possible something would have happened. . What exactly happened there is still being investigated. The other boys were heard on location and could then go home.
